Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake, which is situated along the St. Lawrence
River in Quebec, Canada. |

Kahnawake is a Mohawk word that translates to
"by the rapids". Historically, the location of Kahnawake by the
waterway has had economic benefits to our people, originally during the
fur trade with the Europeans. |
